The procedure with HIFU and RF is more or less similar. After your consultation and expectation setting, you will enter the treatment room.
With both RF & HIFU treatments, you may feel the generation of heat and this feeling could also be perceived as pain. A topical anesthetic is hence applied over the treatment area before the treatment starts.
The machine will be used after applying a gel over the treatment areas selected.
Both RF and HIFU treatment are delivered with a hand-held device connected to the respective machines. They help improve the firmness of skin. The device will be rolled over the target area in a specific pattern as required by the treatment to be effective. the procedure will take roughly 30-60 minutes after which the area will be cleaned and you will be good to go home.
There is absolutely no down-time involved in the treatments. With the RF treatment you will see some immediate change which will improve over the course of the next three months. However, you may need to plan your next session over the next 7-10 days and may need a total of 3-6 sessions.
With HIFU, you will see the actual change after 3-4 months. A single session also shows change, but 2 or more sessions may also be suggested. Both treatments also help with reducing the size of open pores and give an overall refreshed and youthful appearance.
With dermal threads, since the procedure is minimally invasive, there is a requirement of topical anesthesia. After your consultation, your treatment will be provided by your skin specialist. The inert threads are taken out of the bag in your presence. You will see them with long needles.
You will be asked to lie down or sit on the treatment table (it depends on which position allows better access to the target area). The needles are then inserted along with the threads and pulled out after the thread has attached sub-dermally with the help of tiny hooks present at their ends.
